Be in Control !!!!

Being prepared is the one thing you have control over when it comes to any type of emergency. Most people will make sure they have their insurance paid up so their homes are covered, yet being prepared to take care of yourself and your loved ones in the face of a disaster is usually something overlooked. A few questions you should ask yourself regarding preparedness are:

1. Do you have enough water on hand to last at least 72 hours for each member of your family?
2. Do you have a communication plan (out of area messenger to relay information) and meeting place plan in place for your family?
3. Do you have gear in place to secure your pets and/or transport and care for them away from home?
